We love art! Once a week we join Artistree Community Arts Center of Pomfret, VT for an instructional art class. We have many instructors, including Finnie Trimpi, who help us explore many different art forms.

This is an inclusive and adaptive art class that assists all artists! We are all artists and everyone participates at their own level. Finnie insists there is no wrong way to do art-we can all be successful! and create beautiful masterpieces!

Once a week in the summer and fall, we go to the Woodstock Country Club for golf. The Woodstock Country Club is owned by the famous Woodstock Inn and Resort They generously host us weekly at their driving range and putting green. Our golfing excursions offer us an opportunity to learn the game of golf and play with our friends. We welcome all talents-from beginner to experts!

In the spring, we meet with Vermont Adaptive Sports on the Rail Trail in Lebanon NH for adaptive cycling. Tom Alcorn from Vt Adaptive, and his crew of enthusiastic and amazing volunteers, provide bikes and instruction for us. No need to bring a bike-they bring every type of bike imaginable for us to ride!!! Each bike is specifically designed for individuals with special needs. Every week we try new bikes as we enjoy the beauty of the Rail Trail and gather with friends.

We are very fortunate to have the historical Norman Williams Public Library in the center of the village of Woodstock. We love to walk to the library and browse for books and independently use the facility. Some of our participants can be seen sitting quietly reading in a nook or looking through picture books. Other participants enjoy being read to or looking through magazines and other literature. We love books and treasure any opportunity to go to the library.

Every Wednesday in the summer we travel to nearby lovely Silver Lake in Barnard VT. We usually meet with Tom Alcorn and his merry band of volunteers from Vermont Adaptive. They bring all types of adaptive boats including canoes, kayaks and paddleboards. Everyone is welcome and all levels from beginner to expert participate in instructional adaptive boating. Also, while at Silver Lake, we swim, picnic and have a ball!!! Our weekly trips to Silver Lake are the highlight of our summer!

Several times a month we take the short journey to Artistree Community Arts Center in Pomfret Vermont to participate in pottery class with Fiona. This incredibly popular program enables us to create masterpieces-small and large. Fiona gives us detailed step-by-step instructions but she strongly celebrates our own particular styles and techniques as we work with clay. We also glaze our pottery and Fiona fires it up for us! Everyone can create beautiful pottery regardless of any prior experience or talent.

We love to play games and we love to have fun!!! Kitty, a ZP program director, loves to lead us in a non competitive (usually!) game of Bingo!!! We also love playing other games such as Jenga, card games and all types of board games!

Yoga dance is for yogis of all abilities. Liz Barker leads us in a class of music, dancing and sun salutations. This class offers varied poses and exercises for strength, flexibility and balance..

We love to sing and we have a weekly singing program. Kerry Rosenthal and Sandy Gilmour often lead us and accompany our singing with their guitars! We have other singers who join us for singing including Bob Horan and Papa Frates with his accordion! We sing new popular songs and old favorites! Everyone is an amazing singer regardless of ability or talent. Singing together gives us a feeling of camaraderie and collaboration! Please join us for a guaranteed good time !
